These Filson x Birdwell Tin Cloth shorts are as tough as they come. Made with our iconic waxed canvas, they’re built to stand up to the worst you can put them through. Birdwell has been building the best board shorts in the business since 1961, when Carrie Birdwell transformed her Santa Ana home into a sewing room and became one of the pioneers of clothing engineered for beach life. Sixty years later Birdwell still runs their business with the same principles as Filson–manufacture purpose-built products, craft them with the best materials and construction, and stand behind them without fail.Like Birdwell’s surf trunks, these Tin Cloth shorts are cut with plenty of room for non-binding ease of movement. There are plenty of pockets, with large patch pockets layered over the top of the on-seam hand pockets. The button-flap rear pocket is placed to the side, so you won’t be sitting directly on your wallet. Zippered fly and button-secure waistband.

MATERIALS

14-oz. 100% cotton oil finish Tin Cloth + cotton twill

CARE

Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.
