The Chilkoot Pass Parka takes its name from the route prospectors took during the 1897 Klondike Gold Rush and is engineered for protection in the coldest conditions. It’s filled with goose down, the naturally warm and ultralight insulation that has proven itself time and again in the arctic and at altitude. Offset double-baffle construction eliminates cold spots, and the ethically-sourced 850FP, 90/10 goose down maintains maximum heat-trapping loft. Our goose down is ethically-sourced and traceable, adhering to the Responsible Down Standard, which assures that the geese providing it are subject to no undue harm. The down is processed in bluesign®-approved facilities. The lightweight shell is a ripstop fabric made with a blend of organic cotton and recycled nylon. It's highly breathable to minimize heat-sapping perspiration during high exertion. The forearms are double-layer reinforced for added durability. The two-way front zipper provides ventilating versatility and is protected by an offset storm guard. The deep hood provides extended protection from frigid temperatures and wind, and secures at chin height with snap-reinforced Velcro®. Rib-knit interior cuffs seal in warmth while allowing double coverage with long-wristed gloves. Fingertip length for ample coverage.
