Tin Cloth has been a staple Filson fabric for durable weather protection in the forests of the Pacific Northwest for more than a century. This Tin Cloth PrimaLoft® Vest combines that traditional ruggedness with PrimaLoft®’s class-leading lightweight insulation. The Tin Cloth shell fabric is a tightly woven 100% cotton waxed canvas that’s been treated with liquefied wax under high heat and pressure. This forces the wax into the core of each cotton fiber, for lasting water resistance. The fabric’s tight weave makes it exceptionally abrasion-resistant. It also makes it difficult for any punctures to develop into tears. Our oil finish Tin Cloth can be rewaxed as often as needed to maintain water-resistance for decades of reliable service.PrimaLoft® is a lightweight synthetic insulation engineered to mimic the heat-trapping ability of goose down, with the benefit of continuing to insulate even when wet. The 100g PrimaLoft® Gold used in this vest has been tested to retain 98% of its warmth in soaking conditions. With zippers securing the fleece-lined hand and single chest pockets, your essentials will remain safe.

CARE

Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.
